Keypoint can no longer import carriers via CarrierWatch (SOAP) using an MC number. Keypoint can import some information using a DOT number, but not insurance information. At this point Keypoint cannot get any CarrierWatch information into the system via the SOAP interface. Mitigation summary
- Immediate remediation: Patched the data import job to better handle bad/misformatted data and to tolerate the current data issues, then re-ran the job.
- Data quality fixes: Investigated Motus files, found bad/misformatted data and a mispositioned header; applied quick fixes to correct the data and re-run the ingestion pipeline.
- Verification: Monitored results and observed the count of insurance records missing an effective date decline as the patched job ran.
- Next steps: Plan a Post-Incident Review and ensure the PIR doc is complete; implement longer-term safeguards to prevent similar data-quality issues (validation, guards on import, etc.).
