AWS Auth/STS issues in us-west-2

    AWS is reporting an issue with STS in the us-west-2 region. As many services rely on this endpoint to access other AWS resources, we should expect customer impact. Some services are already showing increased latency/timeouts After monitoring traffic during our typical morning ramp up we saw no noticeable impact, did find some remaining services that needed a restart. Resuming normal monitoring stance.

    AWS is reporting an issue with STS in the us-west-2 region. As many services rely on this endpoint to access other AWS resources, we should expect customer impact. Some services are already showing increased latency/timeouts AWS STS started recovery at approximately 3:00PM PDT. Engineering teams continued to monitor services and restarted services that did not automatically recover. NOC team will continue to monitor into tomorrow morning before marking as resolved.
