Contract Renewal Automation Failure - several Accounts Losing Service Access

Updates

  • Sep 17, 2026 12:24 PM PDT

Customer subscription renewal automation is completely non-functional. Renewals are not being triggered for affected accounts, causing customers to lose active service access. All affected accounts are on credit card billing (no recent changes). Support team cannot manually repair contracts or add services. Issue first reported 17:33 IST, scope expanding (now 4+ accounts: 797083, 797106, 755868, 763659). Revenue at immediate risk.

Root Cause Identified: Yesterday's Salesforce outage disrupted contract
renewal processing for ~135 accounts in the renewal batch. An overnight
remediation script fixed most, but 65 remained unprocessed.

Mitigation Applied: Manual contract renewal workaround developed and
deployed. Process: Toggle Renewal Quoted flag, create renewal quote,
generate order, activate if needed, set Contracted flag to TRUE.

Current Status: Most affected accounts already restored and
operational. Remaining 5 accounts being processed manually by Business
    Applications team.

Impact Removed: Customers regaining service access as contracts are
restored. No fallback needed — workaround is durable and repeatable.
